Victoria’s South West has a rich maritime history with Portland the site of the first commercial port, and once thriving whaling industry.
Centre point to the museum is the historic Portland life boat one of the oldest of its type in the world and renown for its role in rescuing survivors from the Admella wreck in 1859.
