Julia Street Creative Space

Julia Street Creative Space Inc is a community-based not-for-profit, Community Art Complex.

Operating in a Glenelg Shire Council owned building Julia Street Creative Space is located at 19-21 Julia Street Portland Victoria. Volunteers manage the space and provide a unique sales outlet for locally crafted art and craft.

The retail outlet (Argyle Gallery) offers a variety of local, artisan crafted home and gift wares, with the work of many Julia Street Creative Space resident studio group members for sale. Local artisans with home studios in the South West region also have access to the retail space to sell their unique wares.

The Studio Gallery and Portland Bay Press Gallery have exhibitions of works for sale.

Founded in 1995, Julia Street Creative Space is run by a volunteer committee of management.

Would you like to learn something new in the Creative Arts? Our resident Studio Groups include, Printmaking, Painting, Lead lighting, Textile and Wood craft. New members are welcome. With support from CEMA Inc our Community Arts Groups.

The June Hedditch Residency is available to visiting artists, The fully self contained apartment is a wonderful location for relaxing creative development.
