Built in 1878, our Georgian style home was originally a doctor’s surgery and private residence. It has been meticulously restored to its former grandeur, inter playing its decor between contemporary and traditional.

About the Apartments

The Baytree Suite

Located on the first floor. This sun-lit apartment was originally built as a sitting room and was used exclusively by Dr Brewer,the first owner of Annesley House and his family. Now transformed into an elegant apartment with its very own reading nook or day room overlooking the beautiful gardens of Annesley House. After a day enjoying one of Portland nature walks or magnificent beaches, a soak in the claw foot bath is just what the doctor ordered.    Nightly Rate  $195    Weekly Rate  $1092 (20% discount)

Captain’s Quarters

Located on the first floor. In the late 1800s Portland was a busy port and business centre. A man of Dr Brewers station would have been called upon to “accommodate” visiting Captains whilst their ship was in port. The ” Captains Quarters” manages to combine modern functionality and a beautiful sea view, resulting in a comfortable spacious self-contained apartment. Recently refreshed, the Captains Apartment is perfect for business travelers.   Nightly Rate  $195     Weekly Rate   $1092  ( 20% discount)

Rosalie’s Retreat

Located on the first floor. Rosalie’s Retreat is a one bedroom apartment, it has sea views from one side and a view of historic St Stephen’s church from the other. This apartment has been restored inter-playing its decor between contemporary and traditional. Whether you enjoy soaking in the tub in the original claw foot bath or lounging on the sofa with a coffee or glass of wine, this apartment provides the perfect stay whilst in Portland.   Nightly Rate   $195       Weekly Rate  $1092  ( 20% discount)

The Grande

Located on the ground floor. Fully self contained one bedroom, recently renovated with a large gas log fire and reverse cycle heating/cooling, polished floors and joins the sun room sitting area with lots of natural light and overlooks the stunning gardens. The bathroom is centrally located and features a separate shower, vanity unit and toilet,. Wadmore

Located on the first floor of our historic 1878 Georgian style home Wadmore Apartment is perfect for a romantic getaway. This apartment is named after the Wadmore sisters, the second owners of Annesley House. The sisters purchased the property in 1905 and ran the house as a guest house and were known for their matchmaking skills. With a stunning new bathroom and new kitchenette, the luxury of an Antique French Timber and Velvet Super king size bed. Housekeepers Cottage

Located on the ground floor. The House Keepers Cottage was built at the rear of the property to accommodate many of the live in staff in the day. Now fully restored, the two bedroom cottage has modern amenities yet maintains its unique “old world charm”, featuring its very own private rose garden and outdoor setting. The master bedroom features a queen size bed, with the second bedroom comprising of two antique French timber king single beds    Nightly rate  $220     Weekly Rate  $1232 ( 20% discount)

Dr Brewer’s

Located on the ground floor. These are the original consulting rooms of Dr Brewer, the gentleman doctor who had Annesley House constructed in 1878. The spacious master bedroom comprises a king size bed, a queen bed in the second room and two single beds in the third. A fully appointed modern kitchen with an open dining room and sitting room. Despite its modernity, the kitchen maintains many of the original features and furnishings.   Nightly Rate  $240     Weekly Rate   $1344  (20% discount)
