At the southern end of Percy street, take a stroll to view the abundance of birdlife that live in and around Fawthrop Lagoon. You will see a wide variety of waders working their way through mudflats as the lagoon is subject to tidal flows from Portland Bay.
Allow yourself an hour or so to circumnavigate the first lagoon. This track is very popular with local walkers, prams and runners. An easy walking track suitable for all ages. A map is available from the Portland Visitor Information Centre - Lee Breakwater Road, Portland
